Staton, Jr. is a senior executive with over 30 years of experience with specific expertise in oversight of multi-million dollar level budgets in purchasing and vendor relationship management from his recent position as Chief Procurement Officer with the eighth-largest metropolitan area in the country (Washington, DC) to large state government (State of North Carolina) and international private sector companies.

Professionally skilled in directing and managing complex vendor and strategic sourcing and evaluation, contract negotiation, training and compliance at a senior administration level, procurement as well as operational support for programs, human resources management and training, export administration, transportation, accounting, and audits. He is a highly skilled manager recognized for effective change management and accountability with numerous stakeholders.

Mr. Staton is a North Carolina native. He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration with a Concentration in Accounting from Saint Augustine’s University, Raleigh, North Carolina and a Master of Business Administration-Public Administration from the University of Phoenix, Phoenix, Arizona. He is a graduate of the District of Columbia’s Executive Leadership Program at George Washington University. He has served on numerous non-profit boards including the National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO).
